SPRING SHOW.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NEXT
The local Horticultural Society’s Spring Show will bo held in the Town Hall on Thursday and Friday next, and indications point to its being of a record nature. The local exhibitions are attracting a, good deal of outside attention, and visC tors to the various shows held on this coast declare that the Eoxton shows, in point of administration staging and display, compare more than favourably with any. Entries close at 9 p.m. on Tues-. day next, but late entries will be receiver! on payment of an extra fee up to !) o’clock the night before the Show. Catalogues and entry forms may be obtained upon application to the secretary, Air Patterson. This year a special attraction wilt be added, e.g., vocal competitions for boys and girls under 12 years and 15 years, own selections. The competitions will take place on both show nights. Airs Stephenson, of Shannon, will ufliciate as judge. Air Betty’s orchestra and the Borough Baud will also enliven the proceedings with selections. It is hoped that local growers will look over their garden plots and select the choicest for exhibition. Special, points and society’s prizes arc awarded on a liberal scale.
