PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The Patriotic Shop was open last Saturday under the charge of Mrs Baker and Miss Spoirs, and good business was done. Gifts are gratefully acknowledged from the following: —Mesdames Admore, Harvey, Healey ,Speirs, King, Woodroofe, F. Procter, Firth (Whitamii), Richmond, A. h’oss, Freeman, Greig, Tyson, F. Robinson, Hughes, Thymic, Harper, \V. Barber, C. Robinson, Xye, Signal, A. S. Easton, •fas. Stevenson, Robinson, de Kidder, Rough, Misses J. A. Ross, Moxham, Messrs W. Ross, MeKnight, M’alsh, Symes, C. Spiers, Greig, Pearson, Jas. Ross. Xext Saturday Mrs Clias. Robinson will have charge, and the proceeds will he devoted to the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund. A sheep has been donated for a guessing competition, and guesses may he handed in at Mr Woodroofe’s shop on Friday and Saturday at sixpence each. Holders of hordes of art union tickets for the Maori curios are urgently requested to send same into the Secretary as the drawing, which has been postponed from 28th October, must take place on Saturday night next.
