Poiuniii Ice in Wellington that they will require £l,ddd monthly to supply the Xew Zealand soldiers in the lighting area and in the front line trenches with delicacies, such as choeociiis, hisenas, cakes, sweets, -ea, milk, and soup tabloids, liovril. cigarettes, tobacco, etc. As tho winler is non- approaching, ant! the men exposed to the cold and wet anti mud, the friends in Xew Zealand are asked to send money quickly to tin- Y.M.C.A., which will be cabled to London, and trench --omloiis bought anti forwarded at. once to the numerous soldiers. The Isi dies’ Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. have arranged to hold a Trench Comforts Day on Friday next, tho 17lh inst., when they will sell homemade cakes, sweets, llowers, eggs, poultry and produee. 'flic need is urgent, and your assistance will ho greatly appreeialed in money or kind. Gifts can be sent to the Wellington Y.M.C.A. not later than Thursday next, the Itith instant.
