HOTEL BURNED.
FAMILY HAS NARROW ESCAPE.

The Pacific Hotel, the first hotel eroded in Grahams!own, was destroyed by fire early this morning. It was a large wooden building, owned by Mr Joseph Howard, of Anekland. The licensee, Mr .1. Priee, and his family, had a narrow escape. Nothing was sa.ved. it was calm weather, otherwise there would have been a serious -conflagration. The adjoining buildings were only scorched, the brigade’s efforts to confine the lire to its source being successful. The insurances are not available.
