A BUSY WEEK. Wellington, Oct. 20. Tim following- cable was received to-day from Mr Massey: —“We have had an exceedingly busy week as follows: —Monday, long conference with Secrtary of Stale for Colonies and permanent heads of Colonial Ollice; Tuesday, sworn in as member of I’rivy Conned, aflcrwards granted audience by the King, very large New Zealand reception a I liu 1 Hotel Cecil, a thousand present; Wednesday, attended full meeting of British Cabinet, ad< dressed large gathering- at Pilgrim’s Club: Thursday, Lord Mayor’s luncheon to overseas representatives; Friday, entertained by Royal Colonial Institute, 480 present; Saturday, farewell New Zealand soldiers returning by Mabeno. At all gatherings the re.cepl ion was exceedingly cordial, and enthusiastic tributes were paid to the high standing New Zealand occupies in the heart of the Empire. We leave for France on Monda v.”
