TWENTY-SECOND REINFORCEMENTS.
OVER 000 SHORT. The Canterbury quoin for the 22ml Reinforcements arrived in camp on Thursday 231 men short of the required strength. The Otago quota is about 225 short, which will bring the total Dominion shortage for the 22nd Reinforcements (exclusive of the West Coast quota, which will arrive on Monday) to 012. It is expected, however, that the West Coast quota also will he under establishment, which will still further increase the total shortage. The various districts have been asked to complete their quotas by Wednesday next. To such men as are holding back it is pointed out that by going into camp now (hey will be gelling the best of the weather in New Zealand, and on arrival at the front will escape the European winter.
