PATRIOTIC SHOP.
The, Patriotic Shop was open as usual on Saturday last, under the charge of Mesdaines Kcrr-Hislop and Kellow. The weight-guessing competition for a lamb was keenly contested, the correct weight, 27.}1h5., being guessed by Mrs Freeman and Messrs Reiter, Westwood and Heath (lifts are gratefully acknowledged from the following: —Mesdaines Shailer, Rivers, Lyne, Tlemmingsen, Thynne, Jus. Robinson, Harvey, McMurray, Mooz’e, Austin-Johnston, Alex. Ross, Jas. Stevenson, John Ross, Purcell, Henderson and Cunningham, F. Robinson, Barber, De Ridder, Gibbs, Win. Ross, Misses Woodroofe, Spoil's, Moxham, Messrs Bowe, O. Robinson, Win. Ross and Liimsden.
Next week the proceeds will bo devoted to the Wounded Soldiers’ Ruud, and the shop will be under the charge of Misses J, A. Ross and Robinson.
A slice]) weight-guessing competition will be held next Friday and Saturday. The sheep is to be on view at Mr Woodroofe’s shop, where guesses may be recorded.
