WEDNESDAY (one night only). A programme of except ional merit will he screened on Wednesday evening, featuring little Viola Dana and Edward Earle in “The Innoeence of Rulh,” a Klcine-Edison feature in five nets. Miss Dana achieves a personal triumph in (his feature' through her oWn native i-lrnnn and sweetness, which en-hane-es, as does the setting, the* brilliant impersonations she lives in her characters. The play is replete with delightful change—-the irresistible pranks of vivae-ious girlhood, her own rennu’kabh* elancing, a cleverly wrought love suspense, touches of infectious nonsense — everything lo make a delightful play, wholesome, yet markeel with vigorous dramatic scenes. Easily one of the most winsome little* ladies—if not the. most —on the screen, there is no longer epiestion of how she stands —an artist of compelling depth of power. Director John Collins, who knows so well Miss Dana’s astonishing abilities, plays them well forth in a most pleasing way. Supporting features will he: “Anzae* Day in Sydney,” a film of considerable interest; “The Artful Dodger,” a comedy; and the Latest number of the “Topical Gazette.
