SCOW’S CREW MISSING.

Auckland, Sept. 20

The scow which capsized off Whangapai’a is the Vesper. She was on her voyage from Whangarei to Clevedon. There is no sign of the crew of four men.

A tug picked up the scow, and is towing her to Whangapara, where she will be righted and beached. .The crew consisted of G. S. Davis (captain), Leslie Craw (mate), Charles Smith (engineer) and another, whose name is unknown. The coast is being searched for possible survivors.
