BOWLING.

The Palmerston North Club’s greens will be officially opened at 2 o’clock to.-morrow afternoon. Foxton will be represented by two or three rinks. At the annual general meeting of members of the Shannon Club, held on Friday evening last, the following officers were elected for the ensuing season; President, Mr J. Roach; vice-president, Mr F. F. Gibson; treasurer, Mr C. H. Gardiner; secretary, Mr T. F. Gibson. It was decided to open the season on Wednesday, October 4th. The Terraco End green will be opened on Saturday, October 7th, and the opening of the Levin green will take place on AVednesday, October 4th.
