FIRE AT OTAKI.
RALLWAY HOTEL DESTROYED. The Railway Hotel at Otaki, occupied by Mi's St. Leger, was burned to the ground at one o’clock on Tuesday morning. The large building was owned at one time by the lute Mr D. Quill, of Otaki, and the present owner was Mr A. Hall, of Wellington . Mrs St. Leger was previously at the Porirua Hotel. Her husband, Lieutenant St. Leger, is at present, with the Expeditionary Forces at the front. The building was insured in the Commercial Union Assurance Company for £I,OOO, and in the South British Insurance Company for £l,lOO. The contents were insured in the Queensland Insurance office for £9OO.
