GERMAN VIEW OF ZEPPELINS.
That a section of the German people really consider Zeppelins capable of delivering a vital blow at England is evident from the following extracts from the Tagliche Rundschau: —“We are convinced that in these airships we possess a weapon the ruthless employment of which will influence the result of the war, and bring about its speedier conclusion. Our latest experiences of these weapons prove that they are an effective means of war. By their aid we can disturb and cripple the British war industries and British economic life, we can strike a blow at the heart of .the English money power in the city of London, we can lame the powers which have provoked this war, and which are responsible for our enemies being still able to continue the struggle. That English wives and children happen to perish in such undertaking.' is matter for regret, and we do regret it, but one German field grey man is of more value in our eyes than a dozen English women and children, and a single German village must be more valuable to us than the entire City of London.’ -
