FOXTON BOWLING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING,

The annual general meeting of members of the Eoxton Bowling Club was held on Thursday evening, the President (Mr D. Whihlcy) occupying the chair.

The annual report, and balancesheet, particulars of which appeared in last issue, was read and adopted.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year President, Mr D. Whibley; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Nye, P. Lurasden and E. Walker; secretary and treasurer, Mr L. E. Large; committee, Messrs A. E. Admore and W. Smith; delegates to centre, Dr Alandl and Air L. R. Freeman; auditor, Air E. Symes. The retiring secretary was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks for his work during the past two years. The following new members were elected: Alessrs H. A. Ingle, J. H. Robinson and A. E. Wainwright. Dr Alandl mentioned that the trophy for conpetition among two and three year players in the Eoxton, Levin and Shannon Clubs, presented by him last year and not competed for, would be available again this year, conditions of the competition to be arranged by the Club committee. He also signified his intention of handing in his debenture, for which he was accorded a very heartv vote of thanks.

The question of holding a social this year was discussed, and it was decided to recommend the committee to set up a sub-committee to consider the matter.

The delegates to the Alanawatu Centre reported that it had been decided to hold the annual tournament at Eeilding this season. It will be held on January Ist and 2nd. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting. A meeting was held at the conclusion of the annual meeting to consider the question of holding a social. It was decided that the green be officially opened on Wednesday, October 11th, and that a euchre party and dance be held in the Town Hall that evening.

The following committee was set up to arrange all details and enlist the assistance of the lady members of the Club: Alessrs Freeman (chairman), Smith, Woods, E. Walker, D. Whibley, Nye, S. Dudson and Large.
