The Higii Commissioner cabled yesterday at noon as follows: —
The hemp market is quiet but steady. The demand is principally speculative. Good fair New Zealand £4B 10s, fair £46 10s, Government graded fair .Manila £sl 10s, coarse £4B 10s. Forward shipment good fair New Zealand £47 10s, fair £45 10s, Government graded fair Manila £sl, coarse £47 10s. The output of Manila for the Aveek was 11,600 bales.
