Tho Prime Minister’s attention was called l>y Mr \V. 11. Field on Monday lo a. Press Association cablegram from Kayla ml with regard to (he control of colonial wool. Mr Field asked Mr Massey if he could (ell the House anything on the subject. The fullest information, he urged, should be given to the wool-growers, as the rumours on the matter had the effect of bearing down the price of wool and sheep lo the advantage of some people and the disadvantage of others. The Prime Minister replied that he had no information from the Imperial Government on the subject of commandeering next season’s wool clip, though he had seen several references to it in the papers. That was all he could say at the moment. He thought, however, that if the Imperial Government had any intention of commendeering the next season’s clip, they would have heard from them before now.
