DISCHARGED SOLDIERS DEATH.

Greymouth, July 17

A discharged soldier, John Maher, who fought iu the Gallipoli campaign, met his death yesterday while hunting a bullock. He was recently appointed stockman at the localabattoirs. The evidence points that he fell from his horse. He was picked up with his neck broken, and a stirrup was attached t» a foot. Deceased was 31 years of age, and it is believed be was a native of Victoria.
