JUNE WORKING.
During the month of June the quantity of gas manufactured at the local works was 512,100 ft., which, with the amount in the holder on June Ist, 4,500 ft., made a total of 510,0000. The amount sold to consumers for lighting was 200,200 ft., for cooking and healing 159,200 ft., for power 78,700 ft., used in street lamps 25,5000., used at work's 23,0000., and there was 3,0000 . in Ihe holder on July Ist, leaving 21,0000., representing 4] per cent, of the output, unaccounted for. Forty-three and a-half tons of coal was carbonised, yielding 11,8000. per ton.
