BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s meeting 1 of the Council as follows:—

The following amounts were received during the month of Juno and placed to credit as under; District fund account, £433 15s lOd; cemetery account, £3 T7s (id. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 30th of June, 1910, were as follows:—District fund account.

£373 5s lid, cemetery account, cr. £7 Os lOd, and the ledger balances at the same date as follows: Gas works £9l 2s, cemetery £7 0s 1 reserves £139 19s 2d, sauita ; ;

£9 14s (id, Town Hall £OB 18s .1 ,:V contractor's deposit £3, WhirokLo .. bridge loan £lO 7s lid, roads am' streets loan £2 17s 9d,‘ Shannon bridge loan 9s Id, Whirokino briqy additions loan 10s sd, roads am streets loan £lO 17s 2d, Beach roar loan £1 19s lOd, all in credit, a totai of £352 17s (id. The accounts at debit are: General £149 13s fid, gas cookers and liftings £B4 14s 9d, hospital and charitable aid £l4 13s /d, library £2 (is sd, council chamber and public library loan £35 13s od, gas works loan £353 Is 4d, town hall loan £O9, imprest cash £lO, total £719 2s 7d.
