FELLER’S PICTURES
MY OLD DUTCH,
TO-NIGHT,
There was a very large audience at Fuller’s last night to witness the initial screening of “My Old Dutch.” The picture is without doubt the finest of its kind ever shown in Foxton, and the musical accompaniment was a feature of the entertainment. During the screening, “My Old Dutch” was sung by Mr Hornblow. The singing by the chorus of “Home Sweet Home” at the conclusion of the picture jjrodnced a fitting finale. Altogether, the entertainment was easily the host of its kind ever given in Fnxton, and another full house is assured for tonight, when the programme in its entirety will he repealed. WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.
Au outstanding feature of Wednesday’s change of programme is a penetrating, appealing drama, a 4part distinctive American creation, featuring the beauty actress of the screen, Margarita Fischer and a magnificent cast of American players in “The Lonesome Heart,” a play which mingles smiles with tears. Sa man thy is an orphan living in an orphanage, she is beloved by everyone for her generous heart and lovable qualities. Samautlxy developed a taste for reading romances, with the result, that she wished to see the big world. The gardener assists her to escape from the orphanage, and taking her few belongings tied up in a handkerchief, and her pet frog in a jam tin, she starts on her wonderful journey. A handsome young man tishing in a stream is attracted by her strange appearance, and she at once believes he is the Prince Charming she had read so often about. How this chance meeting changes the lives of these two estimable people is vividly told in the stirring drama. Miss Margarita ifise-her is one of the most beautiful and talented of the American films. Her rendering of the part of Samanthy, the fatherless waif with the lonesoipe heart, sparkles with humour and glows with pathos. Supporting items are: “The Serpent’s Tooth,” comedy; “When Appearances Deceive,” drama; “With the French at Salonika,” war topical; “The Pathe Gazette.”
