GIRLS’ GUILD.

RESULT OF BEAN-GUESSING COMPETITION.

Mrs C. F. Johnston and Mrs A. Rimmer eacdi guessed the correct number of beans in a bottle for the silver-mounted emu egg, donated by Mrs Gower. The correct number of beans in the bottle were ; 2071. The guesses represented £ls some odd shillings. The exhibits for the forthcoming art union are on view in Mr 0. Simmons’ shop window. The Guild has received permission from the Minister of Internal Affairs to conduct the art union. Tickets may be obtained from Mr Simmons and Guild members.
