ASSESSMENT COURT.
A sitting of the Assessment Court was held in the local Court House this morning, before Mr J. W. Poynton, S. M.. Mr H. J. C. Coutts appeared on behalf of the Valuation Departntenl, Mr W. E. Barber appeared as assessor on behalf of the Crown, and Mr G. H. Stiles on behalf of the Borough Council. There were about forty-seven objectors, and about twenty-two were adjusted out of court. The other objectors were heard, and in one or two cases slight adjustments made.
