GRAND BAND ENTERTAINMENT.
TO-MORROW NIGHT,
The local public -will he well advisecl nut to miss the entertainment to be given in the Coronation Hall to-morrow night by the Queen Alexandria Regimental Band. This band has given recitals in many places, and the press reports of same are very flattering. Refer-
ring to a recent performance in \Vanganui, one of the Wanganui papers says : —By far the largest, and one of the most enthusiastic, audiences that has ever assembled in His Majesty’s Theatre to listen to a band recital greeted the Queen Alexandria Band last evening. The various performers were applauded with great vigour and persistence, which necessitated almost doubling the length of the printed programme. The recital may be written down as a great .success, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all present, the Band quite upholding its reputation for providing refined and enjoyable recreation for all lovers of music. The programme had been chosen with a view both to interesting the audience and displaying the ability of the Band, whose items went with a swing and vigour, combined with crispness, that was quite commendable, once more reflecting the greatest credit on the tuition and training given by their popular and talented conductor.
