FOXTON LADIES’ PATRIOTIC GUILD.
The Ladies’ Guild have received the following letter from the secretary of the War Refugees Commitlee in London :—“We have received three cases of excellent clothing from the ‘Women ol Eoxlon, kindly transferred to us by the High Commissioner lor New Zealand. Will you please convey our most grateful thanks to all the kind ladies who have so generously given to us. Their bountiful gift is very much appreciated, and most; acceptable. We have been able to clothe many refugees from these, eases alone, whieh is an enormous help to our dwindling resources. W e cannot thank you ail enough, hut we can assure von that all the splendid garments have been distributed with great discrimination. We are specially grateful for all women’s undergarments, also dressing gowns. No Belgian woman seems quite happy without the latter garment ! Our store of clothing has been sadly depleted during the last, mouth, and we shall he very thankful for any further contributions, although, of course, wc do not wish to lie greedx. With renewed sincere and warm thanks to all kind donors.”
