FUELER’S PICTURES.
“THE ESCAPE.”
Probably no better picture has ever been screened in Foxtou than “The Escape,” screened at the Town Hall last night. It shows the escape of a woman from poverty and degradation, through sin, suffering and sorrow to a better life. From the opening picture showing May Joyce, longing for a better life, and beseeching her father to better the condition of his children ; through the years of degradation until at last the girl struggles up from darkness into light, the picture is real. WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY. To-morrow’s change of programme is reputed to be an exceptionally good one, containing no less than three star pictures. A comedy featuring our old friend, Charlie Chaplin, in “Charlie’s Busied Romance,” the 14th episode of “The Million Dollar Mystery” in “Tracked by Secret Police,” and an authoritative filming of a part of the firing line, “The Belgian Troops Storming the German Trenches,” this is one of the finest pictures taken since the war began. Supporting items of merit are : “Through Switzerland in Ten Minutes,” scenic ; “The Guiding Light,” drama ; “Foiled,” comic ; “ Pathe Gazette,” topical; and “Fair, Fat and Saucy,” comedy.
