CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor).
Sir. —In reply to the Rev. W. Raine will you permit me to say nir, that his reply does not touch the points I have mentioned viz., has the promised secrecy been observed by collectors and why was the divisional amounts published instead of the grand total ? I am still of opinion that it was never intended ‘to publish the totals of the sections, and unless the Society make this clear it , will interfere with future giving to the scheme. Apologising for taking up so much ot your space.—l am, etc., Worker.
(To the Editor,) Sir. —Referring to Mr Raine’s letter: Then if it is so that members of the exec’ f, ”p are a reasonable body 0; a.-a and women, the question is, why do not our little scarlet boxes bear the name of its ’‘district” (or street) instead of a person’s name ? And, seeing that suggestions are welcomed, may I make one : that the collectors empty the contents of each box into a bag without counting its amount. —I am, etc., A True Patriot.
