BOWLING.

A Feilding challenge rink —Garrett, Mason, Saywell, Finish (s) —motored - over to Masterton on Saturday, and under (he worst conditions, after thu«. u„ys of rain, defeated the strong rink which held the Dixon Cup— Wilkes, H. and C. Perry, Staples (s). The green was very heavy, but drew well. The criticial head was the 19th end, when the score was 15 —18, but the holders were lying 3 when Fruish went on the mat. He drew the kitty to the ditch with his last bowl. That settled it, for though Staples burned three heads the score ended : Feilding 23, Masterton 16. Since Mr Shep. Dixon gave the Cup fin 1908) Feilding rinks have won 25 contests for the coveted trophy.
