BOROUGH FINANCES.

o The Borough Treasurer submitted the following report at last night’s Borough Council meeting : I have the honour to report that the following amounts have been received during the past mouth and placed to credit as under : To district fund account ,£255 13s 1 id, and to cemetery account £g 17s 6d. The credit balances at the Bank of New Zealand as per pass books are : District fund account £isg 4s 4d, and cemetery account 2s 1 id. The ledger balances of the various accounts are as follows: Sanitation ,£135 15s, reserves 19s Bd, Town Hall £l2l 13s icd, gas works All 5 10s nd, council chamber and public library loan £23 10s, hospital and charitable aid ,£l7 14s id, Whirokino bridge loan is 2d, cemetery £l3 2s nd, roads and streets loan No. 2 ,£lO 17s 2d, gas works loan £3 os id, contractors’ deposits £3, Beach road loan ,£1 15s 3d, library ,£1 13s 6d, Whirokino bridge additions loan 8s gi, Shannon bridge loan 7s sd, all in credit, a total of ,£586 9s gd. The following accounts are at debit : General 15s Bd, sundry debtors os 6d, roads and streets loan 6s 46, and imprest cash total ,£414 2S 6d. SUMMARY.
