INFANTILE PARALYSIS.

Five cases are reported in this district, three.at Foxton and two at Oroua Downs. One of the Foxton cases is being treated in the district hospital. The patients are infants. No cases in Wellington were notified on Saturday. One case was reported from Gisborne. Another case was reported from Hawera on Saturday. Two cases have been reported in the Wairarapa, one at Greytown and the other at Featherstou. Both cases have been isolated. Only two cases of infantile paralysis were reported in Auckland during the week-end, both being from the country. The total reported for the week was nine cases in the city and two cases in the country, and the total to date is 161 cases in the city and 158 in the country. The returns indicate that the • 1 ' aic is waning, particularly m me city.
