MR FIELD PROTESTS TO THE MINISTER. , Mr W. H. Field, M.P., wrote to the Hon. Mr Herries, Minister for Railways, re the irregularity of the running of the Palmerston North-Foxon train as set forth in the Herald some time since and has received the following telegram in reply: — “Have received your letter 21st re late arrival of trains at Foxton, Your representations will have careful consideration and 1 am directing that inquiries be made with a view to effecting an improvement.”
