THE FOXTON WHARF.

At Tuesday’s meeting of the Palmerston N, Borough Council a letter was read from the Foxton Harbour Board, asking if the Council would permit their engineer to furnish the Board with a report on the present P'oxton wharf, with an estimate of its present value and the cost of building a similar wharf; also, if required, to give evidence before the Commlssiou appointed to deal with the whart question, which will probably sit in Palmerston early in March.—The Mayor said it was most important that the engineer’s evidence should be obtained, and on Cr Broad’s motion the desired permission wasjgranted.
