CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor).

Sir, —Will you permit me to ask the Borough Council to Inform the ratepayers through the press, at their next meeting, the costs, legal and surveying, and the correspondence connected with the street alignment fronting Mr Rimmer’s property in Russell Street, and why was Mr Ritumer singled out for attention re alignment when the other streets in the borough are at sixes and sevens in this matter ? What was the object of making fish of one man and flesh ot another ? I think the ratepayers should know how their money has been expended, or squandered, when it could be put to other more useful purposes.—Yours, etc., Ratepayer.
