FOXTON PATRIOTIC SOCIETY.

A special general meeting of the Foxton Patriotic Society is advertised to be held at the Council Chamber on Monday evening next, at 7.30 o’clock, which all members are specially requested to attend, also others desiring to join and assist in local patriotic work are invited to be present. All ladies who are undertaking the Society’s work are members of the Society ex officio, and are especially welcome at meetings. It has been thought that a larger executive would Invoke more enthusiasm in the Society’s work, and this matter will be discussed. Reports of the working of the Patriotic Shop and the collection box scheme will be received and discussed, also a statement of the financial position, and arrangements re the receiving and providing ior of returned soldiers and the farevvelling of recxuits will be made.
