FOXTON BEACH CONCERT.

A very successful concert was - held at the Foxton Beach on Wed- : nesday evening last In the Methodist Church. The performers were , Mesdames Rowe and Woodroole, . Misses D. Signal, E. Crabb (Wanganui), Griffin (Palmerston N.),, Messrs H. Temple White (Wel*-*i Hngton), Barr and Rowe. The ‘ church was well filled and the audience manifested its appreciation by insisting on numerous ' encores. The part singing was a special feature ot the performance and was well rendered. Quartettes, ■ trios and duets were contributed by members of the party and were highly appreciated by those pre- \ sent. The solos also were very finely rendered and well received. Elocutionary items were given by : Mr Rowe. Mr H. Temple White presided at the piano and gave his hearers much pleasure by his performances. A hearty and enthusiastic vote of thanks was given to the performers and to Mr and Mrs Hodder for the use of their piano. The singing of the National Anthem brought a very pleasing and successful concert to a close, after which the performers were entertained at supper on the Beach by Mr and Mrs Signal.
