MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
QUARTERLY RETURNS. The Cietk A il-c doua tMr FWood.-;) has supplied the folmwirg particulars of the business transacted at the local Magistrate s Court during the quarter ended December 31st; 1915 : Thirteen sittings of the court were held, three being presided over by the Magistrate and ten by Justices. Civn,.' Twenty-six cases were heard, the aggregate amount sued for being is 3d and the amount recovered ,£l3B 3s 2d. Twentyeight plaints, three distress warrants and six judgment summonses were issued, and two orders were made on judgment summonses. Forty summonses and warrants were executed by the bailiff. The amount of fees paid in stamps was £l3 MsCriminal. Twenty-four persons were arrested or summoned, twelve were fined, eight orders were made and four cases were dismissed. The fees and fines amounted to ,£l6 3s,
