A CORRECTION.
(To the Editor.) Sir.— Through two typographical errors in your last issue a paragraph in the letter from my son was made to read as under : “We stayed about 24 hours at Lemnos, and I was dead scared ; I was one of the ones to be put ashore here. I missed it. and we are now bowling along merrily for Alexandria.’’ The proper reading was: “We stayed about 24 hours at Lemnos, and I was dead scared I was one of the ones to be put ashore there. However, I missed it, and we are now bowling along merrily for Alexandria.’’ The insertion of a semicolon after the word “scared” where it should not have been and the omission of the word “however” in front of the words “I missed it,” altered the whole sense of the letter. Trusting you will make the above explanation plain. —Yours etc., C. J, Kknt-Jounston.
