FULLER’S PICTURES. A well-balanced programme provided a splendid evening’s entertainment at the Town Hall last night, a special feature being “The Living Death.” Here is a powerful story of a man who was so selfishly in love with his daughter, and who thought that she must be kept unsullied by the world, that he takes her to a beautiful hut lonely place, he can be reasonably sure that she will meet no one who can win her affection. One day the inevitable happens. His daughter meets a, young man and falls desperately in love with him. The doctor uses his scientific knowledge to try and prevent the impending ■marriage. The manner in which he is frustrated makes a charming story with many stirring episodes. Other meritorious items constitute a fine programme, which will be repeated to-night. FRIDAY & SATURDAY. The popular Keystone Company present a laughing boom in “Fatty’s Plucky Pup,” 2,000 feet. Fatty is rather tired, and falls asleep while smoking a cigarette. He manages to set alight to the, bed, and drinks the water with which he should have quenched the fire. During the trouble bis wife sits him on a red-hot stove, and this drives fatty to a shooting gallery, where he loses his money. Recovering it in a funny manner, he and his -pup embark upon a series of comic situations, in which the pup shows great sagacity. The supporting films are a worthy lot, and include a splendid filming of the Grand Assault at Arms held iu Wellington, a well filled number of the Topical Budget, and some excellent dramatic and comedy items.
