HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
A well-attended committee meeting of the above was held last night. The president, Mr G. H. Stiles, occupied the chair. A statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the Spring Show was received, discussed and adopted. The receipts from all sources totalled /54 13s lu/d and the expenditure /'SO 13s 3d, which included /5 15s Id paid for tables, etc. The President said the statement was very satisfactory, showing a surplus of nearly /10. Accounts were passed for payment. Correspondence was read from Mr Lumsden, tendering his resignation. It was unanimously decided to ask Mr Lumsden to reconsider his resignation. Miss A. Neylou was appointed to fill the vacancy on the committee caused by the resignation of Mrs Hillman, It was decided to donate one guinea to the Borough Baud for services rendered.
