SPRING SHOW.
RECORD ENTRIES. The local Horticultural Society’s Spring Show takes place at the Town Hall to-day and to-morrow. The entries in the various classes are as follows ;—Pot plants 24, cut blooms 121, sweet peas 28, fruit n, vegetables 23, dairy produce u, cookery 66, home industries 26, fancy work 60, patriotic work 12, decorative 88, miscellaneous 7, birds eggs 7, school work 327. The entries this year total 80S, as against 704 in 1913. and 74 1 in 1914. The school work this year constitutes a record, and is a distinct feature of the show, entries coming in from Palmerston, Oroua Downs, Moutoa and the local school. The judge, Mr Watkin’s of Wanganui, being well pleased with the work as a whole, which also reflects credit upon the schools represented.
