MANAWATU PATRIOTIC SHOW.
Palmerston advices state that the coming Show is expected to prove a red letter event in the history of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association, and there are signs that the expectations have every chance of materialising provided the present fine weather holds. The entries are well np to standard, though the exact figures are not yet available. 'I he cattle division is very strong, the new cattle pavilion evidently being greatly appreciated. The Association now has the linesl. accommodation for show cattle in the Dominion, and the magnificent display of cattle to be housed therein will provide a most suitable opening for so handsome a building. The other divisions of the Show are all exceedingly well supported from photography to dogs, and home industries ro competitions and horses. Entries have been received from as far south as Invercargill and as far North as Auckland. Exhibits are beginning to arrive, übiquitous side showmen being in strong evidence. His Excellency the Governor and Dady Liverpool are to visit the Show on Friday, the SUI, Peoples Day, All things being equal, and the weather good. N. should have a fTiorongh awakening particularly so as the Patriotic Society is bolding a Fair in the big Machinery Hall. It is the intention to keep the last mentioned open till 10 p.m. each evening.
