THE SLAVE GIRL
The Reliance Company presents a powerful drama in “The Slave Girl,” at the Town Hall to-night. It is a stirring story of Old America tingling with emotion and character, and holds you deeply interested from start to finish. Supporting this picture are the following : “Ambrose’s Fury,” comedy; “Love Will Out,” drama; “Cleaning Time,” comedy ; “The Image of the Past,” drama ; “Up in the Air,” comedy ; “Topical Budget.” MONDAY & TUESDAY. First presentation of the vitally gripping Majestic Co’s, drama, “The Sisters,” featuring the dainty Gish sisters. Two young girls living in a small town, not being used to the smooth flattery of the rehearsed love talk of the usual smart city man, are carried away with it, and fall deeply in love with him. He runs away with one and marries her ; the other is married by a sterling man of the home town. The domestic tragedy which follows the girl who went to the city is averted by the sacrifice of the stay-at-home girl, The play ends with a glow of satisfaction to all. Another film which should prove of interest to all is, “The Departure of the 4th Reinforcements,” a tribute ot admiration to those who are taking their share, and the share of the shirkers, in the fearful war that now convulses Europe. Other items are : “The Waterfalls of Natal,” scenic : “The Banker’s Double,” drama ; “Love and Business,” comic; “Midst Woodland Shadows,” drama ; and “The Latest Topical Budget.”
