HIGH COMMISSIONER’S report.
The High Commissioner cabled yesterday at noon as follows : The Manila market is dull, with a downward tendency for forward shipment owing to poor demand. The spot market is not yet affected. New graded fair for forward shipment is quoted at to ss. The output from Manila for the week was 20,000 bales. The New Zealand market is steady, but the demand is only moderate. Quotations: Forward shipment good fair fair The value of high point fair on spot is about ,£32 1 os. Tow is still offering at last quotation, but buyers are boldine back.
