FULLER’S PICTURES
,‘SHANNON OF THE SIXTH”
The programme at the Town Hall to-night is the re-screening, for the last time, of the powerful Kalem melodrama, “Shannon of the Sixth,” a story of the Indian Mutiny. This story includes some of the most exciting situations that have ever beeh presented on the screen, amongst which is the famous massacre at Meerut in May, 1557, Many of the incidents woven into the story are historically true, and the whole picture is attractively toned by the sentimental vein supplied by the love of the beautiful daughter of the commanding General and Shannon of the famous Sixth. Supporting films are: “Australia will be There,” farewell to Australian troops; “Dr Smith’s Baby,” comedy ; the latest Topical ; “The Fashion Shop,” comedy.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
The programme for Friday and Saturday will contain the final instalment of “The Adventures of Kathlyn” in “The Court of Death.” The concluding chapter of this great serial carries full interest to the end, and the climax is splendidly managed. The programme is composed of several other good films, including: A stirring Edison two-part drama, “What Could She Do ?” ; a funny Keystone farce, “Fatty’s New Role” ; a series of clever animated cartoons, “Egypt, I Want You !” ; a most interesting series of news items, “Topical Budget.”
