Wk are in possession of information, unfortunately lor the present of a confidential nature, which if given effect to by the Government, will be of vital importance to the future prosperity not only of Foxton but the whole district from Martin to Levin. It concerns the port and the railways, and we might add that these matters in future will probably be considered under one head. Mr W. H. Field, M.F. has not let the grass grow beneath his feet concerning the wharf and other important matters connected with this district, and has been in close touch with responsible Ministers almost continuously for the past six months. A point has now been reached in respect to certain important matters, which when made public will make interesting reading. Beyond this at present we cannot go.
