Wyeth, of the Trentham Regiment, “ Rord Riverpool’s Own,” sou of Mr and Mrs John Wyeth of Foxton, was entertained by relatives and friends, and made the recipient of a wristlet watch on behalf of his parents aud sister fMis Spiers), and a case of pipes and tobacco pouch by his friends. The presentations were made by Messrs Crowe and W. Sexton* respectively. The recipient acknowledged the gifts in a neat speech. The evening was interspersed with musical items and refreshments.
