The Kennedy coal laden from Westport crossed inwards on Thursday night, but stuck at Duncan’s bend. She got off on yesterday morning’s tide, and after discharging her cargo sailed last night for Puponga. The Awahou from Westport via Wanganui had the same trouble as the Kennedy in reaching the wharf. She crossed inwards on Friday morning, and grounded at Duncan’s bend and did not get off until the next tide. She sailed at midnight last night for Westport. The Queen of the South with general from Wellington arrived yesterday morning, and sailed again last night for Wellington with hemp.
