CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor). Sir. —In the midst of all our patriotic festivals and fund we are, I think, omitting a very important matter. On Monday, seven of our young townsmen are leaving for camp, and up to date I have heard of no steps being taken to give /hem an official send-off. Now, sir, I submit that for a small town like Foxton seven volunteers for service in the Empire’s cause is a big lot, and it is up to Foxton to see that the boys have a kind and hearty sendoff. I would have liked an abler pen than mine to write you re this admission, but sincerely hope that Foxton will officially or unofficially take steps to give our boys a hearty farewell on Monday afternoon. Thanking you in anticipation of your publishing this, —I am, -etc., L. E. Large. [Arrangements have been made to give the men an official tarewell. -En.]
