OBITUARY.
MR A. EDWARDS, AGED 53
The death occurred at the Palmerston North Hospital on Tue.s day of Mr Arthur Edwards, a resident' of very long standing in this district. The deceased, who was 53 years of age, had been ailing for the past twelve months, and two months ago was removed to the hospital, the Immediate cause of death being heart trouble. He was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Edwards of Mquloa, two of New Zealand’s pioneer settlers, and a brother of Mr R. Edwards a well known public man of Palmerston North, and an exmayor of that town. The late Mr Edwards lived practically the whole of his life at. Mouloa where lie engaged successfully in fanning pursuits. Although practically unknown in public life he was highly respected by all who knew him, being a straightforward, hard-working farmer, whose word was his bond. Seme th ree years ago lie disposed of his farm, and took up his residence in Fox ton. The funeral iood place at Palmerston North on Thursday afternoon.
