MOUTOA NOTES.

(Own Correspondent.) A children’s hall, organised by Mrs Hall and Mrs Tilling will be held in Shannon early next month. No less than three weddings have taken place in Moutoa within the last week or so, and another will soon take place, and Foxton will supply the fair material to complete the happy union, Mr A. T. Thompson, an old identity of Whitaunui, who is leaving to join the Kxpeditionary Force, was given a send-off on Friday evening. Mr A. McDeod occupied the chair, and on behalf of the employees presented Mr Thompson with a toilet outfit. Mr W. Cullen, who responded to the toast of “Veterans,” made the speech of the evening.
