FULLER’S PICTURES. The current programme at the Town Hall is of an unusually high standard, featuring two special features in “The Battle,’ a great war romance, and a very fine and appealing play by the famous Vitagraph Co., “Memories in Men’s Souls,’’ A magnificent scenic picture is, “Santa Catalina Island,” depicting ocean mysteries photographed 50ft. under water, also “Film Favourites,” a splendid comedy. “Bird Eife” provides a charming nature study, and the famous Keystone Co. presents a hilarious comedy featuring Charles Chaplin, “Those Eove Pangs.” WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY. Richard Ridgely, Edison director, presents a powerful romantic drama, “The Colonel of the Red Hussars.” In richness of settings, as well as in the dramatic values entailed, this film is a splendid offering, and will surely please all classes. The story concerns King Frederick of Valaria, the Princess Dehara, Major Dahlberg (who bad been known as “Mr Smith ot Washington”), the Archduke of Eotzen, and a certain intrigue stable, Mrs Spencer, Princess Dehara falls in love with the brilliant Major Dahlberg, and the King corners upon him a Grand Dukeship. Fearing Dahlberg’s power at Court, a plan is formed to ruin the new Grand Duke and cause his banishment. The romance that grows out of the decision of Princess Dehara is the natural union of two kindred souls. ROYAE PICTURES. “ Seven Days.” the chief attraction at the Royal to night is said to be one of the most amusing comedies yet shown on a picture screen. The supporting films are well up to the usual standard. To morrow night the great photo play “ The Means and the End,” will be shown. This is a strong drama showing the struggle between capital and the underworld. Among other films is a topical introducing the famous French general, General Joffre.
