“CARRIERS” OF MENINGITIS.
SOLDIERS FROM TREN*. THAM. Dunkdix, July 26. Two soldiers on leave from Trentbam went to the public hospital today complaining of sore throats. On examination, they were found to be carrying germs of cerebo-spinal meningitis. It appears they are not suffering from the actual disease, but are designated as “carriers,” being immune themselves, but liable to affect others. Every precaution has been taken to prevent the spread of the disease in the district, and both men have been Isolated.
